Hi, I’m Ryan.

I'm one of those strange people who like to hang out at their local coffee shop on the weekends. I’m easy to spot. Just look for the guy in shorts and sandals sipping tea, staring off into space and occasionally scribbling down words in a notebook. During the work week, I can be found in a cubicle of a major telecommunications company working on data analytics for their digital platforms.

I'm a proud tar heel, born and bred, but these days I live in the peach state with my wife, our son and our five chaotic cats. In my spare time I enjoy reading books, building LEGO bricks, playing the occasional video game, and solving word search puzzles. I attend renaissance festivals, writing conferences, and sci-fi/fantasy conventions whenever I can.

Music is important to me. I'm frequently listening to it. Most of the time it ends up being a mishmash of ‘70s and '80s rock, movie scores and electro swing. Nature speaks to my soul. My favorite places to visit are historic sites, dark forests and beach shorelines that go on forever. At the end of the day, I'm just another introvert in sandals writing his way through life.
