A Man’s Hat (Poem)

A Man’s Hat

I punched a hole in a man’s hat.
I thought it better than his face.
I snatched it up from where he sat.
I punched a hole in a man’s hat.
I stomped that damn bowler flat.
I did so with little show of grace.
I punched a hole in a man’s hat.
I thought it better than his face.

A Falling Out (Poem)

A Falling Out

A yell. Then there was silence,
Our friendship, our love, died in verbal violence,
Regret caused by foolish pride,
Because of me, the friendship died,
I hope one day you’ll forgive me,
Destruction of our friendship I didn’t foresee,
The love and friendship we had, I miss,
All because of my stubborn remiss,
Through hell and back – I have sought you,
Can you tell me my long journey is through?
I forsook a friendship so very dear,
In memory and heart, I still hold you near,
I’m sorry- DAMN!
I really am.
