Too Many Thoughts (#380)

Swirling echoes and thoughts,
Somehow turning me into knots,
No one thing comes to the forefront,
Through the noise a reason I hunt,
Why do I feel overwhelmed and lost?
Thoughts tend to tease and accost,
It seems they’re in no short supply,
The looming question is why,
So many thoughts that are undefined,
Why do they lay so heavy on the mind?
Is it so hard to want to understand?
It’s like trying to sift through wet sand,
Gah! My head is starting to ache,
How much more can I take?
What’s the reason they overflow the levee,
And why do they hammer me so heavy?

Any Thoughts?
