Time Away (#1205)

I’m missing you,
But that’s something I already know,

Normally it was I who periodically would travel,
Always leaving your nerves to unravel,

This time it was your turn to leave me behind,
But I know I wouldn’t be out of sight out of mind,

I’m sure it’s just me missing you mostly,
But apart life just feels empty and ghostly,

When we talk, I wonder if you feel the same,
Like a picture missing from the frame,

Your trip is now almost done,
It’ll be good to see you and our son,

Until such time I shall carry on yet yearn,
All for your safe and quick return.

Any Thoughts?
