The Strand (#1545)

A little sun and miles of sand,
Ocean views down the entire strand,
Strong breezes reminding you it’s there,
Salt sprays permeate the seascape air,
Pelicans and seagulls perched or flying,
Smells of coconut oil and seafood frying,
Umbrellas whip and beach awnings flap,
Seafoam tumbles and the waves clap,
Sunbathers and swimmers dot the beach,
The wooden pier continues to sun bleach,
Blues and greens from every vantage and angle,
Words to describe this place are hard to untangle,
The essence of the beach soaks into every pore,
It’s hard to keep my eyes and mind off the shore,

Any Thoughts?
