The Heavy Truth (#745)

Stepping on the scale:
WHOA! I’m a whale!

Years of overeating and grease,
Have led to me being obese,

I don’t want food to take my last breath,
But I’m literally eating myself to death,

I can’t ignore the facts,
Put down those snacks!

Losing weight looks insurmountable at best,
And keeping it off will be a lifelong test,

It takes so much effort to fix,
Especially when the weight just sticks,

The work I’ll just have to embrace,
It’s a problem I can’t afford not to face,

It just requires me to commit,
It can kill me, or I can kill it,

I’m not going to end up dead,
That weight is going to be shed.

Any Thoughts?
