Temptation (#635)

Though settled with fear, I stand alone,
Against temptation’s heart of stone,
My loyalty and faithfulness have been sworn,
I will not let temptation win no matter its scorn,
Temptation was a problem in the past,
But that did not linger or last,
I know what I have, I know who I love, I know what I want,
And because of this temptation will no longer haunt,
I will stand to fight for which I care,
No matter the stakes if they were poor or fair,
I stand behind my promise and faithful word,
Even when sulks away is temptation’s songbird.
