Roe vs. Wade (#1973)

The Supreme Court overturned Roe vs. Wade,
And just over a month later I’m still dismayed,
It’s a historical gunshot that continues to ricochet,
Rights aren’t rights if they can be taken away,
I don’t see stances on abortion as black or white,
Yet I understand both views and why each fight,
In the interpretation of law and all its provisions,
Religion shouldn’t influence the court’s decisions,
But in this case, we see faith played a large part,
It’s just one more thing tearing this country apart,
Some see it as progress and others a backslide,
As illustrated by those who celebrated or cried,
Should the non-conservatives be concerned,
That other decided cases might be overturned?

Any Thoughts?
