Persistent Inflation (#1975)

We have inflation not seen in 40 years,
It brings my thinning wallet to tears,
They said it would be transitory early on,
Yeah, transitory has come and gone,
Persistent would be a more accurate term,
Because regular increases have held firm,
Gas and food have been hit the worst,
When will these prices get reversed?
I’m used to the typical price creep,
But the increases have become steep,
Our economy is about to pump the brake,
There’s only so much our wallets can take,
I hope we have price reversals soon,
But I fear inflation will continue to balloon,

Any Thoughts?
