Perception of Age (#1640)

The seasons come like an unstoppable wave,
Before we get to know them, they’re in their grave,
How is it they come so incredibly fast?
How can these seasons already be in the past?
It seems the passage of time changes with age,
The further in the book the faster the page,
Surely this is only perception and not the truth,
It feels so different now compared to my youth,
I remember my elders relating that same thing,
But back then it didn’t have that truthful ring,
In hindsight, I look back and laugh,
What once felt like a book is merely a paragraph,
Just as my elders had once foretold,
The seasons go by faster the more I grow old,

Any Thoughts?
