On the Road (#627)

On the road, headed toward the beach,
At last, that water and sand will be in reach,
It’s been forever since we’ve last been,
I’ve been ready to go since I don’t know when,
Just 4 hours of asphalt to feel that sand,
To smell that ocean breeze and hold shells in my hand,
Just 4 hours of waiting to again be at home,
To see the lush marshland grasses and loam,
It’s all there and waiting for us to arrive,
All that’s between us is four hours and a drive,

Any Thoughts?
