Knowing What I Didn’t Know (#1031)

I’m at a loss for words,
They all took to flight like birds,
I thought I knew what I was doing,
Now doubt has begun brewing,
I thought my work was ready,
Thus, I’ve been going strong and steady,
But now I know what I didn’t before,
And I must pick my jaw off the floor,
I feel I need to stop and step back,
Probably even backtrack,
I’m not as far along as I thought,
And that ties me in a knot,
My whole world feels shaken,
How could I have been so mistaken?

Any Thoughts?
