Just Write (#734)

Not a word appears to be coming,
I’m sitting here to myself humming,
It’s not like I don’t know what comes next,
It’s just not making it from my head into text,
This train has got to leave the station,
I’ve got to get over this hesitation,
I’ve got to put a word down, any at all,
Anything to get me past my stall,
I can change it later if it’s not quite right,
The important thing now is just to write,
I need to dig deep and plow ahead,
I need to write with my heart instead of my head,
For now, I’ve got to put perfection aside,
And write the words held captive inside.
