Eyes Speak (#417)

When the words stop, the eyes will speak,
Especially when courage is mute and weak,
Truly the eyes are windows to the soul,
Sideways glances and a sarcastic eye roll,
An inability to look into someone’s eyes,
Watery and puffy cheeks after hard cries,
Menacing looks and skin searing glares,
The eyes reveal all our worries and cares,
They share our warmth or our frosty chill,
They show our fear or our determined will,
Especially, when courage is mute and weak,
When the words stop the eyes will speak,
