Drought (#1183)

For months we’ve been suffering a drought,
And now the future of our water supply is in doubt,
We all thought rain would come if we just waited,
Instead, heavy water restrictions have been mandated,
Our water supplies are dangerously low,
Our lake bottoms and riverbeds are starting to show,
It’s certainly a scary sight to behold,
Especially if the worst should unfold,
We still hope for much-needed rains,
But only a few months of water reserve remains,
Our yards and gardens have all turned brown,
Businesses and farms are hurting all over town,
Every day for the chance of rain we wish and plead,
We are truly in desperate need,
What little rain we get is extremely small,
May the rains continue to come and continue to fall,

Any Thoughts?
