Dark Mood (#470)

In another dark mood,
The kind where I tend to brood,
Where all walk on eggshells,
Because they heard the warning bells,
For fear of an unwarranted riot,
They leave me alone distant and quiet,
I’m not trying to be menacing or rude,
But times like this I like my solitude,
It’s the mood where I tend to reflect,
Where with myself I try to reconnect,
I may come across sinister and cruel,
As if I’m ready to deal death by duel,
I’m merely in touch with my darker side,
Embracing it rather than making it hide,
The length of time I stay this way is small,
Fear not, I’ll be my jolly self in no time at all.
