Dark (#531)

When you’ve got nothing left,
And the burdens of life too heavy to heft,
When the whole world feels black,
And all your problems are stack upon stack,
When the zeal for life is gone,
And you feel you can’t carry on,
When you feel your misery is ordained,
And you’re totally irreparably drained,
Whenever you look around, you see only sorrow,
And you can do nothing but dread tomorrow,
You’ve got to stop and look inside,
From life, we cannot hide,
All the bad you need to face,
But all the good you need to embrace,
If you only see the dark, that’s all you’ll know,
There’s light there, so nurture it, and let it grow.
