Creation (#729)

I love the days I’m driven to create,
After a writing session, I feel amazingly great,
I look forward to being in that headspace,
That creative time I’ve come to lovingly embrace,
Even if ideas aren’t knocking down my door,
If I show up, they’ll show up, and that’s for sure!
We writers joke that writing is an incurable curse,
But in all honesty, we love our prose and verse,
It’s a comfort of sorts like a welcoming friend,
In all truth, most times it’s like a godsend,
Sure, inspiration and ideas come at all hours,
But what are lightning strikes without the showers?
It’s funny that the more I write, the more ideas come,
Behold the endless sea of ideas to plumb!
