Corn (#265)

From the day I was born,
I was raised on sweet yellow corn,

How to have it was always a challenge to decide,
The oddest I’ve had was batter-dipped and deep-fried,

The most common way is to have it boiled,
But it’s even better buttered and broiled,

Strangely, I do enjoy it creamed,
But then again, I also like it steamed,

Slow roasted in an oven or right off the charcoal grill,
As relish or off the cob with salted butter and dill,

Opinions vary but always are strong,
No one way to have corn is right or wrong,

I’ve eaten it in a myriad of ways,
But one thing is certain- I love my maize.

Any Thoughts?
