Can’t Jump (#1925)

Though I feel it’s time to take the jump,
In my throat there’s a jittery lump,
I have no issue peering over the edge,
It’s another matter crossing that ledge,
I’ve tried several times to psyche myself up,
But it hasn’t gotten me closer to jump,
I’ve tried counting and an all-out run,
But steps away that inertia is done,
Why I can’t jump seems perfectly clear,
I suffer from self-doubt and ongoing fear,

Any Thoughts?
