A Wet Mirror (#1724)

Rain spills down onto the street,
Forming rivers that hug sidewalk concrete,

Yellow and white paint pops against glossy black,
In the distance thunder’s rumble and crack,

Drumming drops pelt my windowsill,
A mirror of how I secretly feel.
