A Sample of Fall (#1712)

I stepped out this morning and stopped spellbound,
It was cool out, and yellow leaves were on the ground,
It’s still summer, but fall is starting to show,
I stood there and basked in the fall-like afterglow,
The heat of summer will return in a blink,
But this morning’s weather makes me think,
Sooner than later this weather will be the norm,
That thought makes me feel all fuzzy and warm,
Fall is my favorite time of year truth be told,
I’m looking forward to the kaleidoscope of red and gold,
Given this morning’s weather it won’t be long now,
Fall may not be here yet, but I’ll enjoy this anyhow,

Any Thoughts?
