Poem #22

Night Sky

Dark swirls of celestial dust in the night’s sky,
Shadowy clouds and the full moon up high,
Cool spring breezes run like winding rivers,
When they hit the skin, they cause shivers,
Moving branches try to obscure the moon,
Across the sky pinholes of light are strewn,
The cool evening dirt beneath my bare feet,
The vision of the heavens above is so neat,
Such a beautiful evening sky to behold,
It’s no wonder stargazing never gets old,
A masterpiece, billions of years in the making,
Forever silent but beautifully breathtaking,
