Poem #1693

Love in Reflection

My home. My heart.
Seems fate knew from the start,
Who would have imagined those years ago,
That we’d end up a lasting combo,
No matter the ups and downs we’d held firm,
I guess this writer needed his bookworm,
We’ll always have differences to reconcile,
But regardless she makes me smile,
We’re an odd pairing in truth,
As odd as how we got together in our youth,
But I wouldn’t have it any other way,
My moon and sun. My night and day.
