Poem #1648

Super Blood Wolf Moon

We stayed up late to see the eclipse,
I was cold enough to see the air from our lips,
Tonight, was the much-awaited Super Blood Wolf Moon,
Just before midnight, a time somewhat inopportune,
My son used his new camera to snap some shots,
As we moved about trying to find the best spots,
The bright white slowly dimmed into a subtle red,
Seeing it in person made me glad I didn’t go to bed,
When at full blood red, we smiled and clapped,
You should have seen all the photos my son snapped,
It was a beautiful and powerful sight to behold,
Well worth staying up and braving the cold,
