Poem #1642

Wet Drives

Driving home in the wind and rain,
Seems to be an ongoing pain,
Lately, anytime I’ve been behind the wheel,
The rains pelt my car with fervor and zeal,
When will the skies dry and show some sun?
Driving in all this rain hasn’t been fun,
It’s almost as bad as driving at night,
But at least there’s the glow of moonlight,
Heavy rains mean little to no visibility on the road,
Which means accidents by the boatload,
Most people can’t seem to drive in the rain,
They’re either too slow, or they hydroplane,
My patience for all this has thinned,
I’m tired of driving in all this rain and wind,
