Music: Queen – “Princes Of The Universe”
Location: Starbucks (West Paces Ferry)
Happy Mother’s Day! It’s a wet day here in Atlanta. I’ve dropped my wife and son off at church, leaving me to visit my old Starbucks at West Paces Ferry to get a little writing time in. The plan is to take them out for lunch and then head to the cupcake place so that my wife get those special gourmet cupcakes she likes for Mother’s Day. They said the storms might get worse around that time, but I’m keeping my fingers crossed everything goes well.
Well. We saw Avengers End Game. Don’t worry; I won’t spoil anything in the event someone reading this hasn’t. I have mixed emotions about some of the story arcs. I feel like they did great on a few, but the rest disappointed me. It was a good movie though. I can see where they set things up for the next stage of the MCU near the end but for me this will probably be the end of Marvel movies. I might make an exception here and there, but for me, this was pretty much the end cap.
I also took the chance to build Sanctum Sanctorum Showdown (76108). It took a bit of time to build that set, and yes, it took longer than the movie. For some reason, I was expecting this set to be much bigger than it was. It looks larger when opened up, but when closed it’s tiny. I enjoyed all the details they worked into the set; several were action oriented.
I enjoyed the build, but I think adding the final Infinity Stone to the Infinity Gauntlet was the highlight. Thanos finally has all the stones. And of course, I’ve got some Avengers ready to battle him. Hehe.
I’m dreading this week. There’s a lot going on, and I’m hoping things go well. Too bad it can’t all be resolved with a snap. Hehe. Hopefully, I can get some writing in there too.
