My contact form spam made me laugh this morning. I routinely go in and clear them out, but part of that is glancing over them to make sure the spam is actually spam. The one that came in this morning started out with “Passable greetings!” HA! I hate to break it to them, but that wasn’t even close to passable. Is it just me or are spammers getting lazier?
My LEGO building has taken a hit lately due to everything going on, but today I got the chance to build Darth Vader Transformation (75183). It has an interactive mechanism that allows you to see Anakin on one side and with a twist reveals Darth Vader on the other. There’s even a piece at the top that swings down that can lower the helmet onto his head like in the movies. It’s not my favorite Star Wars set, but it was still a decent build. I think they borrowed the design from the Han Solo in Carbonite set, but that’s just conjecture. The minifigs make the set in my opinion, especially with Palpatine included.
Our son has his band banquet tonight at the local YMCA. They do some awards and such, but it’s mostly for the kids to have food, play games and hang out together. He’s been chomping at the bit to go ever since he got home. Since he’s out for the night, the wife and I could have another dinner date out. Yay!
His laptop is really falling apart. I think I’m going to let him borrow mine while we send his off to get repaired. It’s still under extended warranty thank goodness, and it covers all the crap wrong with it. It’ll just take time to fix or replace. In the meantime, I can just dig out my old surface 3 with the messed-up screen and use that for a bit while he uses mine. It had can handle anything he needs it to do, unlike the surface.
All in all, a decent day I think.
