Music: The Crüxshadows – “Quicksilver”
In preparation for putting up my poetry, I updated my writing page today so that I could offer links to read and buy. Right now, there’s only the buy option, but once I make a poetry journal available, I’ll turn on the read link. I also made a poetry journal place holder page in the backend and played around with some formats until I settled on something I liked. I had originally thought about pasting the content into a page and formatting it, but we’re talking about a freak-ton of formatting work. At this point, I’m almost tempted just to post them as PDF files. You know what? I think I will. Screw it.
The infamous Muller report came out today. Can you believe that Barnes and Noble is offering it as a digital ebook? And just as expected, everyone is losing their minds over it. The left is carrying pitchforks and torches, wanting blood and revenge. The right is blowing smoke and trying to make it sound like there was nothing in the report. Frankly, I’m tired of hearing about it. Did we really need a report to know he’s dirty? Of course not. Did we really need a report to know he’s not a great role model, moral or otherwise? Of course not. What will it take for both sides to agree to put all this behind us and move on toward actually doing things to help the country heal and prosper?
I am so ready for the weekend. It’s been a long week, and it’s not over yet. The city came by today and hauled off our bulk trash items. No more mattresses under the carport! Huzzah! I’m currently reading The Bookman by Lavie Tidhar, and I have to say I’ve never seen a fiction book so full of poetry in my life! I can’t decide if I’m reading a chapbook or a steampunk novel. It’s that full of poetry; I kid you not. Otherwise, I like it so far. I’m rambling. I better give my brain a break before I start smelling smoke.
